President: Mickey Perez
Mickey Perez, also known as Super Jet Brunette, has spent the last 6 years working for Pratt and Whitney, a business unit for Raytheon Technologies, formerly known as United Technologies.
Mickey’s roles at Pratt & Whitney took her through each section of the entire engine. She started her career in the Turbine Module Center and then moved to Compression Systems Module Center. She highlights her role in the Pratt and Whitney Engine Center as the most exciting and rewarding part of her career. She worked Assembly & Test with all of the Pratt and Whitney’s OEM engines with specific emphasis on rolling out the PW110J-GM NEO, from development to production. Mickey then moved to the Small Hardware Parts center where her & her team was responsible for 2/3 of all procured parts for all engine programs. While in that role she was an Inspection Supervisor for the Global Parts Center and supported the transition of APU hardware from UTAS to PW. She then moved to the Fan Module Center which she notes as one of the most gratifying and challenging roles she had at Pratt and Whitney. She led a team of 7 Quality Engineers who were nominated for the Pratt and Whitney Leadership awards.
Mickey's passion for Aviation is contagious as her goals in life are to spend her days inspiring and leading the next generation of Aviation professionals. She has recently begun working on a non-profit organization to give back to the community. Check out her website SuperJetBrunette.com for more information.
Mickey is now working toward obtaining her Airframe and Powerplant license and we look forward to see what she does next!
